Can I use SALPay to send money to bank accounts for other currencies (e.g. US Dollar bank accounts?)

At present, you can transfer money only to Philippine Peso bank accounts using SALPay’s Send Money feature.

When I Send Money, how long would it take for the recipient to receive the money?

Fund transfers can usually be completed within 1-3 banking days.

When I Send Money, how long would it take for the recipient to receive the money?

Send money transaction’s standard processing time takes within 1-3 banking days.

How long will it take for a fund transfer to post to the recipient’s bank?

  • PesoNet transfer is a non-real-time posting, unlike InstaPay. Transmittal process with UnionBank via PesoNet takes 2-3 banking days.
  • Posting or Crediting of funds to the beneficiary account will depend on the beneficiary bank once the funds leave UnionBank.
  • Banks have different turnaround time for processing incoming transfer/remittances from other banks.

How long will it take for the fund transfer to take effect if I sent it during a non-working day? (e.g. Weekend, Holiday)

  • For transactions made before 12:30 pm. The turn around time of the service will be within 1 to 2 banking days.
  • For transactions made after 12:30 pm. The turn around time of the service will be within 2 to 3 banking days.
  • Banking days are from Monday to Friday, excluding Holidays.
  • Money sent during a non-working day will be processed the next banking day.

What if the funds didn’t post after the 1-3 processing time?

Kindly contact Customer Support so they can help you file a ticket for your concern.

How will I know if my Send Money transaction was successful?

Send Money transactions are completed within 1-3 banking days, but the SALPay app and e-wallet will immediately show you that the amount sent has already been debited from your balance, if successful.

What if I made a mistake in my Send Money transaction?

If there is an errors/problems with your transaction (e.g. submission of incorrect account details, issues with the destination bank account), you will be notified in-app and the transaction will be reversed automatically. The amount will be credited back and your balance will be restored.
